No dia 13.07.2017, o Presidente da República sancionou o Projeto de Lei n.º 6.787/2016, de autoria da Câmara dos Deputados, que tem como principal objeto modificar dispositivos da Consolidação das Leis do Trabalho (CLT), razão pela qual ficou conhecido como "Reforma Trabalhista", uma vez que acabou por alterar aspectos materiais da relação de trabalho, seja ela individual ou coletiva, como também questões relativas ao processo trabalhista. Referido Projeto de Lei, ao ser sancionado, foi convertido na Lei Federal n.º 13.467/2017.
Vale dizer que o referido texto legal, muito embora tenha sido sancionado pela Presidência da República, poderá (e deverá) ser alterado, através da edição de Medida Provisória, sendo que algumas alterações podem ser relativamente substanciais, tal como já anunciado pelo Ministério do Trabalho.
