Link Legal advised the Malpani Group, an acclaimed name in the
FMCG & Hospitality industry in the Country, on structuring and
acquisition of Imagicaaworld Entertainment Limited (IEL), an entity
promoted by Mr. Manmohan Shetty and listed on the Indian stock
exchanges.
This structured Transaction stands out as one of India's
first few successful resolutions in the listed space outside the
IBC domain, involving resolution of a stressed account through
assignment of debt coupled with acquisition of management &
control of IEL and conversion of portion of the outstanding debt
into equity, under the extant RBI framework of Resolution of
Stressed Assets.
The Transaction team at Link Legal advising MPG was led by
