As a follow up to our first webinar back in December 2023 where we considered the history, details and legal implications of the Supreme Court of Canada's decision in R. v. Greater Sudbury, please join us for "Part 2" where Patrick Groom, Victor Kim and Annik Forristal will be joined by a panel of industry experts to discuss the practical implications of the decision to owners, contractors and consultants on the ground. Discussion topics will include:
- What challenges are owners, contractors and consultants experiencing in the wake of R. v. Sudbury?
- What changes, if any, do owners anticipate to how they select their contractors and consultants for construction projects?
- What changes, if any, do contractors and consultants anticipate to how they perform their work and services?
- What are project parties' thoughts on the need for legislative change?
The discussion will be interactive and will include an extensive Q&A period.
