Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources
Number 28 of 2013 was issued in mid-September. This regulation sets
out the procedure for tendering mining work areas (Wilayah Izin
Usaha Pertambangan – WIUP), including the establishment of a
bid committee, the criteria for bidders, the requirements to be
able to bid, the bidding procedures, the procedure for deciding the
winner of the tender, as well as the procedure for submitting
appeals for bidders that feel disadvantaged by the result of the
tender.
