The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has provided
notice that it won't renew the requirement
that covered employers provide "Component 2" pay data as
part of their annual EEO-1 reporting filings.
Now, the not-so-good news:
The EEOC also noted that this decision not to renew does not
affect the September 30, 2019, deadline by which
private employers with 100 or more employees are required to submit
Component 2 data for the calendar years 2017 and 2018. With
that deadline less than two weeks away, affected employers have
hopefully either submitted their data or are well along the way to
doing so. For further guidance, please see our previous
article, which provides further detail as to what a Component 2
report entails.
The content of this article is intended to provide a general
guide to the subject matter. Specialist advice should be sought
about your specific circumstances.
