United States Corporate/Commercial Law

FINRA requested comment on a proposal to expand the alternative trading system ("ATS") volume data that published on the FINRA website to include transactions in corporate bonds and agency debt securities.

In Regulatory Notice 19-22, FINRA explained that the proposal aims to improve market transparency regarding debt securities traded on ATSs. The data would include the total number of transactions and the aggregate dollar volume of corporate bond and agency debt securities executed on ATSs, categorized by individual debt security and ATS. FINRA would aggregate the data on a monthly basis, and publish the data with a three-month delay.
