The CFTC approved an amendment that replaces the lettering system used in its list of defined terms (CFTC Rule 1.3) with an alphabetized list. The changes were made in order to make the definitions and corresponding cross-references easier to navigate. In addition, the CFTC made conforming amendments to other CFTC regulations that reference Rule 1.3.

The changes were made as part of the CFTC Project KISS initiative. The CFTC is soliciting comments from interested parties, which must be submitted within 30 days of publication in the Federal Register.
