The MSRB is seeking applicants for five positions on its Board of Directors (the "Board").

The Board consists of 11 independent members that are representative of the public, and 10 members that represent MSRB-regulated entities. Of the five open seats, two are for independent members and three are regulated-entity Board positions.

The MSRB said it was particularly interested in applicants with "substantial experience in municipal securities retail sales and trading desk and syndicate operations." The MSRB is also trying to add retail and institutional investor applicants with expertise in separately managed municipal accounts and market structure issues, as well as individuals with securities law or legal backgrounds.

The new term would begin on October 1, 2018. Interested parties must submit their applications by February 16, 2018.
