As part of organizational restructuring, the CFTC moved the Surveillance Branch of the Division of Market Oversight ("DMO") to the Division of Enforcement ("DOE"). Authorities that were delegated previously to the DMO Director will be delegated to either (i) the Director of the DOE or (ii) the Director of the Office of Data and Technology. The CFTC also added new delegations of authority to its rules governing the registration of Foreign Boards of Trade (see previous coverage).
The final rule became effective on June 26, 2017.
