As a follow up to a prior advisory published on May 21, 2020, the Cook County Board passed Ordinance #20-2479 approving the delay in payment of the Cook County second installment 2019 taxes.

As a follow up to a prior advisory published on May 21, 2020, the Cook County Board passed Ordinance #20-2479 approving the delay in payment of the Cook County second installment 2019 taxes.  The second installment would be due and payable on or about August 3, 2020.  Under the Ordinance, no penalties for late payment will accrue until after October 1, 2020.   The Ordinance further provides that “payments made on or before October 1, 2020 in regard to the second installment will be considered by the Cook County Collector as filed and paid timely.
