SNR Denton and IHS The Energy Daily hosted a media breakfast with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Chairman Jon Wellinghoff on September 5, 2012 at the National Press Club in Washington, DC.

Chairman Wellinghoff outlined key priorities he has been advancing during the year, including new rulings to improve operational and market efficiency to lower consumer rates, and the strengthening of the enforcement division to build consumer confidence in electricity markets.

Chairman Wellinghoff responded to questions regarding capacity markets and how they were functioning, coordination of the natural gas and electric markets, investment in new transmission and alternative support for regional electric markets, as well as the implementation of FERC rulings and orders.
