Jason Storipan's article, "What You Don't Know About the ADA Could Cost You," was published in the Building Owners & Managers Association of New Jersey's first quarter newsletter.
The ADA contains five titles that touch upon significant parts of everyday life. This covers Title III, which prohibits public accommodations, generally all business and nonprofits open to the public, from discriminating against or denying the full use of "goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages or accommodations" to a disabled person.
Title III also requires public accommodations remove "all physical barriers" to disables persons whenever it is "readily achievable" to do so.
