United Kingdom Tax

In the 2015 Summer Budget, the Chancellor announced changes to the taxation of long-term resident non-domiciled individuals. Long-term UK residents, non-doms, will become UK-deemed domicile after 15 years of residence in the UK with effect from April 6, 2017. As a consequence, they will become assessable on their worldwide income and gains and non-UK situs assets will fall within the scope of UK inheritance tax.

Duff & Phelps can assist with an independent valuation for rebasing purposes across the spectrum of assets including majority and minority equity holdings, real estate, and limited partner interests for assets located globally. We bring a robust and analytical approach drawing on specialists covering the appropriate geography, asset class and industry. Our reports withstand regulatory scrutiny across the globe, including HMRC review.
