Amendments are now being tabled to the Public Bodies Bill (see here), the first set comprising 21 clause amendments, 2 new clauses and one new schedule, all in the name of the Minister for Civil Society at the Cabinet Office, Nick Hurd. These amendments include provision for the abolition of the RDAs, the omission of the Football Licensing Authority and the inclusion of the Sports Ground Safety Authority, the Register of Public Lending Right and the Youth Justice Board in Schedule 1 and the omission of the Administrative Justice and Tribunals Council and the Civil Justice Council from Schedule 2. A second set of amendments has also now been tabled by Jon Trickett and Roberta Blackman-Woods

Also noteworthy is the electronic publication now (see here) of the Government's briefing on the fate of Public Bodies which Francis Maude indicated at Second Reading was being placed in the Commons Library.
