RLMT Update - Salary Can Now Be Referred To As 'Competitive'

In a recent meeting, the UKBA agreed a concession to the Resident Labour Market Test confirming that a job advert may refer to the available salary as 'competitive' rather than having to show an exact salary or even a salary range.

In a recent meeting, the UKBA agreed a concession to the Resident Labour Market Test confirming that a job advert may refer to the available salary as 'competitive' rather than having to show an exact salary or even a salary range. We are informed that this will be reflected in the new Tier 2 guidance.

This is obviously good news for employers as it allows salary information to remain confidential and flexible depending on experience.
