We are delighted to announce that we have strengthened our presence in Western Europe with the acquisition of Jurispectrum, a niche business law firm which operates in Belgium and Luxembourg.

From the beginning of the new year, our expanded Brussels office will be headed by the experienced EU Law attorney Nikos Korogiannakis. Nikos, a member of the Athens, Brussels and Luxembourg Bar Associations, holds a postgraduate diploma in European Law from the University of Brussels and has handled more than 150 cases before the EU Court of Justice as well as numerous complex international trade disputes.

The Belgian firm, which will operate as a limited liability company under the name of Elias Neocleous & Associates, will focus on European law, including public procurement, competition, and state aid, banking and tax law, representing parties in international trade disputes and engagement with European institutions on behalf of clients.

Our expanded presence at the heart of the EU establishment will add new, specialist resources and enable us to provide new and improved high-level services to our clients.

Commenting on the expansion of the Brussels office, Elias Neocleous, managing partner of the firm said, "I am delighted to welcome our new Brussels team, headed by Nikos. They will allow us to offer new services to our clients and represent their interests with EU bodies. The expansion of our Brussels office is the first step in our expansion programme, which will soon see us open an office in Luxembourg, followed by offices in other western European capitals to complement our presence in central and eastern Europe and provide comprehensive geographic coverage."
