On February 7, the SEC's Office of Compliance Inspections
and Examinations ("OCIE") announced that cybersecurity was one of its
2018 examination priorities. Each of OCIE's examination
programs will prioritize cybersecurity with an emphasis on, among
other things, governance and risk assessment, access rights and
controls, data loss prevention, vendor management, training, and
incident response.
