Appleby Bermuda Counsel Gavin Woods will be speaking at the BDA's Bermuda Executive Forum to be held in 15 May in Vancouver and 17 May Toronto. The forum will feature industry representatives promoting the corporate benefits of setting up a captive insurance company in Bermuda.
The Forum will draw risk managers and current and prospective captive owners and will focus on captive strategies. Other focuses will include reasons to set up a captive insurer, the nuts and bolts of how to establish a captive entity, and why Bermuda is the sensible domicile choice for captives.
Gavin will be providing a comprehensive overview of applicable legislation and steps to incorporate and license a captive. He will explore how Bermuda's captive insurance market is the global leader and one of the world's largest hubs for commercial re/insurance companies, making it a unique one-stop shop.
