March 17, 2026 – International law firm McDermott Will & Schulte has been named a finalist for Deal of the Year Restructuring as part of the Latin Lawyer Awards.
McDermott Will & Schulte represented the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the Chapter 11 cases of WOM, one of Chile's fastest-growing telecom providers. The firm helped resolve litigation challenging the US proceedings, guided WOM through a complex sale and negotiations with noteholders, and secured approval of its Chapter 11 plan, addressing liquidity challenges while preventing liquidation in Chile.
