Ward and Smith is pleased to have multiple representatives contributing to the North Carolina Bar Association's 2026 Business Law and Corporate Counsel Sections Joint Program, Le Grand Cirque Juridique – Ladies and Gentlemen, Lawyers of All Ages..., taking place February 19–20, 2026, in Greensboro.
This two-day CLE brings together attorney from across the state for an engaging exploration of today's most pressing business and corporate law issues, framed through the "Circus of the Law" theme. Programming will cover topics ranging from artificial intelligence and employment law to business integrations, in-house and outside counsel collaboration, recent Supreme Court decisions, and attorney resilience.
Business attorney Jane Francis Nowell of Ward and Smith is on the committee that planned the creative program. Additionally, two Ward and Smith professionals will take the stage as speakers:
- Hank Harris, of Ward and Smith Business Consulting, will co-present "The Show Must Go On," a session focused on strategic thinking before and after business integrations, common transaction pitfalls, and proactive approaches to successful integration planning.
- Mayukh Sircar will co-present "Taming (the AI) Lions," addressing key legal considerations surrounding the use of artificial intelligence in legal drafting and vendor relationships, including IP ownership, data use, liability allocation, and regulatory compliance.
Ward and Smith is proud to support this dynamic NCBA program.
