Online Vacation Services Company Ends Processing Of National Identity Numbers

On December 15, 2017, the Dutch Data Protection Authority
("DDPA") announced (source document in Dutch) that an
American online vacation services company ended the processing of
Dutch national identity numbers ("BSN"), per the order of
the DDPA. The company now immediately and automatically deletes the
BSN from all digital copies of Dutch identity documents and has
deleted all previously collected national identity numbers.
