The Government of Malta is actively seeking to enhance the maritime sector of Malta. Malta's strategic position gives us an advantage over other jurisdictions. This summed up with our maritime history and new initiatives, will enhance the potential of Malta as the new Maritime Hub.
The Government is expected to issue expressions of interest for new yacht marinas in Ta' Xbiex and Sa Maison, and is currently making plans to have a school specific for students to improve their maritime skills.
There have also been discussions with large shipping companies from Europe to move their operations to Malta.
