On December 29, 2018, the UK Information Commissioner's Office announced that Elizabeth Denham, UK Information Commissioner, was awarded a CBE for her services to protecting information. Denham's award was announced in the United Kingdom's 2019 New Year's Honours list. Previously, Denham received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her service as an Officer of the Legislature of British Columbia, Canada and was named most influential person in data-driven business in the 2018 edition of the DataIQ 100.
