Connecticut Budget Act Increases Holdback For School Building Project Grants

On October 26, the Connecticut Senate and House of
Representatives voted to give final legislative passage to a
2017-2019 biennium budget (the Budget Act). The Budget Act was
signed into law by the Governor on October 31. Section 64 of the
Budget Act amends Section 10-287i of the Connecticut General
Statutes to increase the amount of school building project progress
payment grants withheld by the state from five percent (5%) to
eleven percent (11%).
