Energy Metro Desk Editor John Sodergreen examined the proposed "Financial CHOICE Act," a Republican bill to replace the Dodd-Frank Act. In his column, "Drums along the Potomac," Mr. Sodergreen stated: "nobody thinks this piece of legislation will actually get off the ground, but many on the Hill view it as a likely and available source of talking points for election-year politics." Mr. Sodergreen outlined the 498-page draft bill, paying close attention to the provisions that would "repeal sections and titles of Dodd-Frank, including the Volcker Rule, that limit capital formation."
