As previously discussed here, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has proposed a reimbursement pilot program for Part B drugs. Different factions of legislators have asked CMS to reconsider the controversial pilot.

Last week, some members of Congress circulated a draft letter to CMS Acting Administrator Andy Slavitt, expressing their concerns about the reimbursement pilot and asking CMS to consider certain unintended consequences.

In addition, a group of Senate Finance Committee Republicans, led by Chairman Orrin Hatch, sent a letter to Mr. Slavitt with a somewhat simpler description of the perceived problems, and a group of Senate Finance Committee Democrats chimed in with their own letter.

This blog will continue to cover developments related to the pilot program.
