On October 15, 2015, members of European Parliament
("MEPs") debated the impact of the recent European Court
of Justice ("ECJ") ruling that the Safe Harbor agreement on data
transfers to the United States is not safe. MEPs called on the
European Commission to clarify the legal situation following the
ruling and demanded immediate action to ensure effective data
