We are pleased to announce that EDF Energy Nuclear Generation Limited (EDF Energy) was granted planning permission to enable the offsite storage of electrical transformers to be used during Sizewell B's outage.

Acting as planning agents for EDF, we produced all necessary planning application documents and materials, liaised with the planning authority, and monitored the application's progress through development control committee stages.

The planning permission authorises the storage of three electrical transformers, ground works associated with laying concrete plinths and the sitting of a security cabin and erection of a security fence along the perimeter of the site.

The granting of planning permission by Suffolk Coastal District Council demonstrates that the proposals are acceptable land use, which accord with adopted and emerging policy requirements at a local and national level.
