The National Intellectual Property Office (DINAPI), in
Resolution No. 01/2017 of February 28, 2017, established that all
trademark agents must file trademark registration applications
electronically through DINAPI's Web Services System, on e-forms
approved by DINAPI.
The resolution also establishes that all notices of trademark
filing processes shall be made through the DINAPI Web Services
System, directly to the e-mail address indicated by each duly
registered trademark agent.
Since 2016 requests for trademark renewals are exclusively being
processed electronically, using e-forms provided by DINAPI.
Implementation of electronic processes is part of DINAPI's
Strategic Plan, in line with WIPO and PROSUR guidelines, for more
efficient organization of the institution.
