Florida Could Experience Nursing Home Expansion As A Result Of New Legislation
The 2014 Florida Legislature passed a bill, that if it becomes law, will immediately lift the moratorium on issuing certificates of need for new or expanded nursing home beds. If this happens, Florida should see the construction of new nursing homes and the expansion of existing nursing homes for the first time since 2001 creating opportunities for nursing home developers, lenders, owners and operators.
