As of mid-November, the Republic of Cyprus and the Republic of India signed a Double Tax Treaty in relation to taxation on income.

Under the terms of reaching this Agreement, once it enters into force and becomes fully operational, India shall remove Cyprus from its list of "Notified Jurisdictional Areas", and such removal shall be retrospective as of the 1st November 2013.

The Treaty is expected to encourage further economic development and cooperation between the two countries, and attract further international investments into Cyprus.
