Canada Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) remains open and in operation, but has advised that we should expect significant delays in all services.

Although the office remains open, on account of the unforeseen disruption caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, CIPO has designated the period of time beginning on March 16, 2020 and ending on March 31, 2020 as days when the office is considered closed.  The result is that any deadlines falling within this time frame will be extended to the next business day, namely, April 1, 2020.
