Australia: Progress of the Workers' Compensation and Injury Management Amendment Bill 2012 (WA)

Following our previous updates on the progress of this Bill, we can report that:

• The Bill and the Regulations were gazetted on Friday 27 July 2012.
• It is anticipated the Act will be proclaimed on 1 August 2012.
• The Act and the Regulations have retrospective effect and will apply with effect from 1 October 2011.

The Act will comprise two pages and the Regulations three pages.
