Alex is a Silicon Valley lawyer who advises investors, operators, founders, and C-suite executives on all aspects of the private equity ecosystem, including capital raising, investing, buying and selling companies, corporate governance, and other business matters. His clients include internationally preeminent technology-focused buyout and growth equity funds, as well as start-ups and emerging growth companies for which Alex acts in an outside general counsel capacity.

Alex regularly advises clients and leads negotiations in mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, carveouts, recapitalizations, and other complex corporate transactions. In addition to his focus on software and technology, Alex has led transactions in a variety of other industries, including real estate, hospitality, food and beverage, media, shipbuilding, manufacturing, and professional services. He is also adept across a wide range of equity financing products and structures — and regularly counsels some of the world's largest asset managers and private credit funds on structuring minority equity investments.

Prior to joining Mintz, Alex was a partner in the Global Private Equity Practice of an international law firm.

Alex earned a JD, with honors, from Emory University School of Law and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
