On 21 June 2018, the House of Lords Select Committee on the
Bribery Act 2010 called for evidence for its scrutiny of the
Bribery Act. The House of Lords appointed the Committee in May 2018
to consider whether the Bribery Act has achieved various aims,
including a reduction in corrupt conduct and a higher conviction
rate. The Committee will also examine the effectiveness of the
Bribery Act, its impact on SMEs and the effect of the introduction
of Deferred Prosecution Agreements.
