On 21 March 2019, the Government of Malta published a high-level policy document for public consultation on Malta's national AI strategy. Launched by the Parliamentary Secretariat for Financial Services, Digital Economy and Innovation, together with Malta. AI Taskforce, the public consultation document highlights the vision, scope and policy considerations in the development of a national AI strategy with the aim of establishing Malta as a model nation in terms of AI policy.
