I am pleased to announce the appointment of two of Australia's most well-credentialed corporate and funds lawyers to the Hall & Wilcox partnership.
John Hutchinson and Tony Macafee have been appointed as partners to the firm's corporate, financial services and funds team. With their appointment, we are able to offer you one of the largest and most experienced funds teams in the country.
John and Tony have outstanding experience, having worked on substantial transactions in the corporate and funds sectors across Australasia and elsewhere, including fund mergers, takeovers and spin offs, the sale of management rights, fund capital raisings and restructurings and the launch of wholesale and retail syndicates and joint ventures.
Their current and recent clients include Arena Investment Management (formerly Orchard Funds Management), Generation Healthcare REIT, Morgan Stanley Real Estate, ING Investment Management, Veolia Transport and Becton.
John and Tony were most recently partners in DLA Piper's Melbourne office. Prior to DLA, John's roles included general counsel at Centro Properties Group and corporate partner at Freehills, whilst Tony was previously general counsel – funds management at Becton Property Group.
