International Tax Review, the prestigious publication that highlights law firms and auditing firms specialized in tax matters, recognized Carey as the Tax Firm of the Year in Chile, in a ceremony held at the Pierre Hotel in New York.
Carey's tax group, ranked Band 1 by The Legal 500 and Chambers Latin America, is made up of 24 lawyers, and is led by Jessica Power, one of the few women in Chile who are regularly featured in the legal world rankings, which are traditionally dominated by men. Jessica was also recently recognized by The Legal 500 in the "Leading Lawyer" category, the highest of that ranking.
The awards given by the International Tax Review - one of the most well-known and respected publications on tax issues in the world - are based on interviews conducted by the magazine's professionals with clients, law firms and auditing firms.
