Gatehouse Chambers is delighted to welcome Jake Rowley as a member of chambers from Monday, 24 June 2024.
Jake (2011 call) is an established civil practitioner whose core areas of practice are complex and high-value personal injury (particularly cases involving allegations of fraud and dishonesty), commercial litigation, costs and insurance.
Jake represents both claimants and defendants, dealing with advisory work, drafting and regular appearances in the County Court and High Court in interim hearings, trials and, where necessary, on appeal.
Jake also has a varied commercial litigation and insurance practice, having been instructed on behalf of private individuals, major UK insurers; and large national commercial entities (including British Airways, Heathrow Airport, the TUI Group, Wilko, and the ISS Group).
Jake's expertise spans high value international commercial litigation, arbitration and complex regulatory disputes, multi-million pound international fraud; declaratory relief arising from a property investment scheme; and Solicitors Act assessment proceedings in the SCCO.
