New Regulations Regarding The Powers Of Attorney Withdrawn

KUWAIT CITY – Last month, we were informed by the Ministry
of Trade and Economy that new regulations will take effect on 5
April 2019 with respect to powers of attorney (PoA). You can read

After several negotiations with the officials in the IP
Department, the Ministry has, today, withdrew said regulations and
informed IP agents orally making the PoA requirements as
follows:
- Late filing of the PoA is possible
with 1 month from the filing date, however, softcopy of the PoA is
mandatory for filing;
- One PoA will be sufficient to file
multiple applications belonging to the same applicant, and
- The term of validity of the PoA of 10
years sill stands.
