On July 5, 2018, U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced an 18-month extension of temporary protected status (TPS) for eligible nationals of Yemen. The 18-month extension extends the program from September 3, 2018, to March 3, 2020. To maintain TPS status through the 2020 end date, Yemeni TPS beneficiaries must reregister during the designated reregistration period.
