One year after the Free Trade Agreement ("FTA") came into force between Mexico and Panama, the country has considerably increased exports to Mexico. In 2014, it exported products worth US$ 20 million, and for 2015, products worth US $ 120 million were exported, representing an increase of almost 500%. The Panamanian government expects the FTA to greatly promote bilateral trade between the two countries, while Mexico considers that Panama is an important market for its economy.
