On June 9, 2016, Kuwait confirmed its membership to the PCT,
becoming the PCT Contracting State 149. It will be effective from
September 9, 2016.
Consequently, any international application filed on or after
September 9 this year will automatically include the designation of
the country. Furthermore, nationals and residents of Kuwait are
entitled to file international applications under PCT Treaty.The
Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) of 1970 currently has 150 Contracting States.
