With the world increasingly a global marketplace, exporting has become ever more important for businesses, whether they are looking to flourish or simply trying to survive - and the survival rate is significantly higher for those businesses which do export. 

In this issue Nick Marsden, International and Corporate Tax Partner, Deloitte, joined a specially convened Super North forum on exporting, which proved to be a sounding - board for what companies should and - just as important - shouldn't do when trading overseas. 

We also look at the expert assistance available through the national Exporting is GREAT campaign, and also at the new Northern Powerhouse export initiative. This is being led by the three regional offices of UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) in the North, which are coming together for the first time.
