On 13 April 2015 the first drafts of two regulations which define the maximum volume and value of electricity generated in renewable energy source ("RES") to be auctioned in year 2016 were published.
- The regulation of the Council of Ministers regarding the maximum volume and value of electric energy generated in renewable energy source installations which may be sold by auction in 2016.
- The regulation of the Minister of Economy regarding the volume and value of electric energy generated in renewable energy source installations with aggregated capacity not exceeding 1 MW which should be sold by auction in 2016.
The drafts have been forwarded for inter-departmental and public consultations. Both regulations are executive acts to the Renewable Energy Sources Act of 20 February 2015. The first regulation settles the overall volume and value of electric energy to be sold in 2016, whereas the second regulation defines which part of this volume should be allocated to auction for RES installations which have up to 1 MW of installed capacity.
The maximum volume and value of electric energy generated in RES installation which may be sold by auction in 2016 was divided between RES installations which started generating renewable energy by or before 31 December 2015 and were declared to participate in the auction system ("Existing Installations") and RES installations which started generating renewable energy on or after 1 January 2016 ("New Installations").
The below volumes will be delivered during the timespan of the support system (i.e. in the period of 15 years).
