Scotland's independence referendum has been decided.  Voters have decided that Scotland should remain within the United Kingdom.

In the lead-up to the referendum, the main UK political parties committed to transfer additional powers to the Scottish Parliament.  As the dust settles on the referendum campaign there are key questions you should be asking:

  • What powers are likely to be devolved to Scotland and what will this mean for me and my business?
  • What risks and opportunities do I need to consider?
  • How will the levels of corporate and personal taxes change?
  • Are we moving towards a federal structure like the USA and what is the impact on my business?
  • Is the prospect of an independent Scotland going to emerge again soon?
  • Do I need to change my current operations or business plan in light of any proposed additional powers?

We can assist you in reviewing your operations and consider the options that might be open to you. We can help formulate a strategy and a practical plan which you can implement. The pace of change may be extremely rapid so considering these issues properly is imperative.
