The Trademarks Act of 2012 has now come into effect and replaces
the Registration of United Kingdom Trade Marks Act Cap 284 of 1939.
Under the new Act the UK-based system has been abolished, and there
is only provision for independent registration. However, under the
transitional provisions existing UK-based registrations shall
continue to have effect as if registered under the new Act.

filing requirements throughout the Caribbean.
