By means of Resolution No. 0408 of April 05 the Superintendency of Ports and Transportation established the rate, for the year 2001, that by concept of surveillance fees must be paid by (i) port corporations (ii) port operators, (iii) jetties, and (iv) holders of authorizations obtained before the issuance of Law 1 of 1991.

The rate was fixed at 1.5% over the gross income of the immediate previous year and the payment must be made in a sole payment before the last working day in June.

Additionally, by means of Resolution 0457 of April 18, 2001 the Superintendency of Ports and Transportation established the auto - liquidation procedure applicable to the payment of the above-mentioned surveillance fees.

The document that specifies the auto - liquidation procedure will be designed and supplied to the entities subject to surveillance by the above-mentioned Superintendency.
