According to OFAC, Kim Su Il is an employee of the Munitions Industry Department ("MID"), which is a subordinate of the WPK. The WPK was sanctioned by both the United Nations and the United States for its involvement with North Korea's missile program.

All property and interests in property of this individual, as well as any entities that are owned 50 percent or more by him, and that are in the United States or are in the possession or control of U.S. persons, are now blocked and must be reported to OFAC.
