ESMA Publishes Updated Q&A On The Market Abuse Regulation And The Alternative Investment Fund Manager Directive

On 29 March 2019, ESMA updated its Q&A documents in relation
to the implementation of the Market Abuse Regulation
(MAR) and the Alternative Investment Fund Manager
Directive (AIFMD).
The updated MAR Q&A clarifies the scope of firms subject to
MAR provisions to detect and report suspicious orders and
transactions and provide new detailed answers on:
- the meaning of parents and related
undertaking; and
- disclosure of inside information
concerning emission allowances.
The updated AIFMD Q&A has two new Q&As on calculation of
leverage under the Directive.
